Karan Mehra decided to quit the show due to his worsening health

Naitik Singhania from Star Plus Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has continued to be the most well loved characters of the small screen.
Karan Mehra who is been playing the shows lead role since 2009 has finally decided to quit the show.
While there were rumours that Karan is going to quit the show but he always refused to confirm the news and said it was not true.
The actor confirmed the news of his exit on 10 June which was the last day of his shoot.
Doctor adviced him not to ignore his health
This news will break the heart of his adoring fans; Karan’s decision to quit the show came about as the result of his worsening health.
In a report published on Asian quotes, the actor has said that he did not wanted to quit the show and he wanted to continue more but due to his health he had to take this decision.
He said that his doctor has adviced him not to ignore his health else he would collapse or reach the ICU.
