Preeti Simoes talks about Outdated Comedy show on TV

Preeti and Neeti Simoes entered OTT platform with their latest Thriller series ‘Aakhri Sach’ that has gained them a lot of appreciation.

Preeti was asked whether she would return to the comedy genre, and if comedy will work on OTT as she produced The Kapil Sharma Show.

She says, “A show like this that we have made in the past will not be fitting that criterion. The whole concept of cracking certain kinds of jokes even as a creator we started it, but has now become very boring. Our consumption and attention to comedy has become 30-second reel-based skits or stand-up. That format is pretty much dead now, and that’s just happened over time because 10 years is a long time to stretch an idea.”

Preeti talks about reinvention

Preeti added, “India has moved on from men dressing up as women and dancing around celebs, it's time for reinvention.”
