Jennifer Mistry Not Happy with verdict on Sexual Harassment case

Jennifer Mistry grabbed headlines after her fallout with Asit Modi, the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma.

After receiving no response from the Mumbai police despite repeated follow-ups, Jennifer sought assistance from The Government of Maharashtra. Withthe establishment of the Local Complaints Committee, there was swift progress, culminating in Asit Kumar Modi being found guilty within four months under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace.

Jennifer reveals that Asit Kumar Modi has been instructed to pay her rightful dues along with additional compensation for intentionally withholding her payment, totalling around Rs 25-30 lakh.

Jennifer furious with verdict

An additional Rs 5 lakh has been imposed on Mr Modi for harassment. Despite the verdict being delivered on 15th Feb 2024 she has still not received a single penny from Asit Modi.

She is also not happy over the fact that no real punishment has been given to the accused in her case.
