Zakir Hussain passed away at 73 reason behind death revealed

Zakir Hussain is one of the jewels of India who made a mark for himself in the world of music and won uncountable award and applause for his talent over the years.

Zakir Hussain breathe his last on Sunday night at the age of 73 in San Francisco. He was hospitalised for almost 2 weeks as his health was not well.

According to reports the Table Genius succumbed to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic lung disease. He had been dealing with this illness for many years but continued to shower his love and presence to his ardent fans.

His family said, “His prolific work as a teacher, mentor and educator has left an indelible mark on countlessmusicians. He hoped to inspire the next generation to go further. He leaves behind an unparalleled legacy as a cultural ambassador and one of the greatest musicians of all time." The family has requested ‘privacy at this time.’
