Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Actor Ashita Dhawan resumes shoot

Actor Ashita Dhawan is currently playing Sirat’s mother in the show.

She was last seen almost a month back in the show but stopped shooting as the set was relocated.

Luckily the actress has resumed her work back and has started shooting as well.

Ashita said, “I was desperately waiting to resume work, as it was the need of the hour. I shot with them last on April 12. A nationwide lockdown was announced soon after my last show Nazar went off air in February last year. An artiste doesn’t make a lot of money unless her show runs for at least two years. With no work in hand, I had no other option, but to dig into my savings to ensure smooth functioning of the house and take care of the EMIs as well. It’s not easy to run the house when you don’t have a steady inflow of money.”

Ashita leaves kids behind

When asked about how she feels leaving her eight-year-old twins for shoot in another city, she said, “It’s a tricky situation for all the parents in the industry. It’s easier for someone with another source of income to decline work and be with their families. However, I don’t have anything to fall back on, and reporting to work is the key to survival. Kamaayenge tabhi toh ghar chala paayenge. My kids will struggle to stay without me, but the luxury of staying at home isn’t an option for me.”
